Dr. William J. “B.J.” Crowder, Jr. serves as an Assistant Director of Career and Technical Education for a large public-school division in Virginia, where he leads initiatives that connect students to meaningful career pathways and real-world learning experiences. With more than 20 years of experience as a central office director, principal, teacher, and coach, he is passionate about empowering teachers and administrators to reach their goals while expanding their impact on students, schools, and communities.

Since 2024, Dr. Crowder has also worked with Collaborative Teaching & Learning Group (CTLG), partnering with multiple school divisions across Virginia to support instructional improvement, innovative teaching practices, and strategic program development.

Dr. Crowder also serves in higher education as an assistant professor and doctoral capstone chair at Liberty University and as an adjunct instructor at Averett University, where he mentors graduate and doctoral students in educational leadership.

He holds degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University, The George Washington University, and Liberty University, including two doctorates. Dr. Crowder is a frequent presenter at local, state, and national conferences, where he speaks on workforce development, leadership, and innovative instructional practices.

Beyond his professional roles, he is deeply committed to community service. He currently serves as assistant governor for Rotary District 7600 and is a past president of the Sandston Rotary Club, while also contributing his leadership to several charitable boards and committees focused on education and community development.
